MEAIndia Mobile app Promises to End Your Passport Woes
Ministry of external affairs on Monday launched its mobile app, MEAIndia. With this you can track your passport application will be just a matter of pushing some buttons. The app will make it possible to apply for passport and avail other services related to the travel document .The MEA envisages the application be a "one-stop shop" for you. From getting updates from all the 124 Indian missions in the world, to getting information for consular access in case you are abroad, to booking yourself for the Kailash Manasarovar Yatra, everything is now available on your fingertips.
MEAIndia -one stop-shop will provide all the information required to apply for an Indian passport, locate the nearest Passport office, download the requisite forms, calculate the fees and even track your application status .Users can also download and watch pictures and documentaries on India, share and contribute their own pictures and suggestions.The app is designed and developed by engineers from National Informatics Centre and Silver Touch Technologies and MEA
You can also participate a quiz on Indias foreign relations and check out your Foreign policy Quotient; win exciting prizes or contribute a question. The first 100 winners will each get e vouchers worth Rs.1,000 redeemable on www.landmarkonthenet.com" for buying books.
